Completed Endure + Ripped + Endure last night. Quite possibly the best (or worst) combination of workouts. I sweat more in that 1 hour than I do on a several hour bike ride. The slow paced Endure followed by Ripped gives you a huge rush, and then following that up with Endure again gets the most out of the muscles when they are fatigued. These Core Strength workouts have not only helped benefit my cycling, but they’ve also benefited when I play soccer, tennis, or golf, too.
POW + RIP + ME (endure) for me yesterday. What a beast of a workout. Really fatigues the core and pushes you to the limit and my body is certainly feeling it today. The beauty of these workouts is the ease with which you can just mix them up or tack another one onto the set. Don’t have much time then just do one, or want to really push yourself hard then string 3 together…ouch!! Love it!! These core sessions have awakened my ability to feel and actively engage my core muscles and I really find that I’m doing this engagement all through the day now, whether I am at my desk working or walking around the office, driving to work and of course when I’m out on the bike.
I never knew that the back and core were so important to cycling until I started Cyclo 90. What a difference doing core and back workout do for your cycling.
You are so right Brad! I keep telling all my cycling friends about the program and how important the core is. They have all noticed how much my cycling and fitness has improved but they still don’t quite get it. I think maybe it’s the “leap of faith” scenario and the fact that mostly everyone else just rides as many junk miles as they can to try and break through to the next level and we all know that’s not the best way…
